National Day Parade 2019 will return to the Padang on 9th of August 2019 to celebrate 54 years of independence and to commemorate Singapore’s bicentennial. What are you doing to ring in Singapore’s 54th birthday?

NDP 2019 Parade Show & Fireworks
This year, National Day Parade will be held at Padang (instead of the Marina Bay floating platform) as the country marks 200 years since the founding of modern Singapore.
Prepare yourself to soak in the spectacular entertainment, including parade, sky diving, choir performances, school bands, presentations and beautiful fireworks which will go off above the City Hall area.
Here are some free areas that are open to the general public to view fireworks:

Fun Ride at Singapore Flyer
Bring your little ones for a stunning view of the city by day or by night on the Singapore Flyer (165 metres above the ground!). The giant Ferris Wheel is sure to be an eye-opener for your children as they take in the view of the island. Naturally, it’s also one of the best places to watch the National Day fireworks.
Fun at Singapore Zoo

Take a walk in the wild, and uncover the stories and sensory treasures of nature with Rainforest Lumina. Rainforest Lumina was the first such experience in Southeast Asia from July 2018 to February 2019 as part of Singapore Zoo’s 45th anniversary celebrations. It is now back for its second season since 14 June this year, and will run till 9 February 2020.
Visitors can expect to be enthralled by a mesmerising, audio-visual experience that occurs within Singapore Zoo with 10 interactive zones. Merging story and setting, Rainforest Lumina feature a distinctive narrative where visitors will meet the Creature Crew, a quirky group of unlikely heroes who will take you through a magical adventure like no other.
